Hope of Spring

I enjoy walking down to a pond near my home called “Lower Woods”.  These are the trees that are coming up out of the water - providing a beautiful marsh-like look to the pond. It was a joy to paint the light shining on the water and trees as the ice melted.  This painting also won "Honorable Mention" at the Philadelphia Pastel Society Juried Members Exhibit in January 2026.  This piece is framed in a decorative roped dark wood molding with anti reflective museum glass.
